Homeowner Regan Carlile's great taste and ingenuity allowed her to create a lovely master retreat. She used a 19th-century Portuguese fragment as a headboard. The French chandelier is from the Mews. The lamps date back a few decades—they're from the 1970s. "My mom died when I bought them. She thought they were awful," Regan says. She paid $25 for the pair and took them to Yang's Double Happiness to get brand-new shades. Photography by Stephen Karlisch
