What We’re Pinning: Wonderful Wallpapers

Every once in a while, I see a room I just can’t get out of my head. It usually involves wallpaper—ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of papering my room and am still waiting for the day. While the color of paint can set a tone of a room, a printed wallpaper will elevate the mood. That’s what we’ve been pinning on Pinterest recently—energizing wallpaper prints seen on the pages of design blogs and D Home magazine. We’ve even got a whole board dedicated to it here. Here are some of our favorites.

On the left, we’ve pinned a shot from our recent spread on pro-baseball player Ryan Roberts and his wife Kim. While floral prints can look matronly, the edgy antelope skull paired with the graphic color scheme of the room makes florals “preppy-meets-edgy” instead of “preppy-meets-prissy.”

In the middle, we’ve got a Betsy Burnham project located in Beverly Hills. Almost the whole house is white, and this paper adds a bit of pattern to the beautiful neutral space.

Finally, a room the pink ladies would love. We believe you can never have too much of a good thing, especially when it comes to Pantone’s color of the year, Radiant Orchid. This pin is a whole lotta Radiant Orchid, but in a way that energizes, not overwhelms.
