It’s hard to create the perfect dining room—one that’s both grand in scale and intimate in atmosphere. Mark simultaneously achieved both, however, and this gorgeous Dallas residence’s dining room is a show-stopping backdrop for a variety of occasions. “It’s really the perfect place for a sophisticated dinner party or a holiday meal with friends and family,” says Mark. “We wanted the room’s size to be large enough to accommodate family gatherings for both adults and children, yet also cozy and intimate for just a few couples.”

The room boasts handcrafted woodwork—including custom walnut doors—and Venetian plaster on the ceiling, features that are all uniquely accented by the soft pewter and silver tones used throughout the beautiful space. One of this sumptuous room’s most notable focal points, though, is its stunning fireplace:  the surround is composed of rich, brown sable marble and the firebox is lined with antique, Chicago-style brick placed in a herringbone pattern.
