Page 52 of D Home’s September/October D issue (on newsstands now) had the 411 on We Are 1976′s second location in Oak Cliff. The new space officially opened on September 1st, so we popped in to check things out in person and are happy to report that it did not disappoint.
As promised, there’s the same artful mix of prints, jewelry, home wares, and stationery as the Henderson Avenue original, but the indie boutique’s Bishop Arts District sister store sports an airier more feminine vibe. The carefully curated product is heavy on the handcrafted, with lots of wood, brass, and glass. There’s also an ample cache of unique paper goods, and the framed print assortment is stellar (and incredibly well-priced).
Most exciting though are the vintage letterpress machines and the large sunshine yellow worktable surrounded by cushy leather chairs, just waiting for students to occupy and get their craft on.
We can’t wait. More pics of We are 1976 in Oak Cliff after the jump.

They should open one in Denton, it would do well.
“stationary” …. fixed in place, not moving
“stationery” …. paper products
“copy editor” ….. hope you’re not paying one
