For those design lovers sans a decorator, seeing “to the trade” next to that table/fabric/couch of your dreams can be a serious buzz kill.
So it’s pretty exciting when something you’ve long coveted becomes available to the masses. The specific long-coveted item in this case is one of those iconic, white plaster John Dickinson side tables. I want one. Bad. But yep, you guessed it…”to the trade.”
Until now.
In a to the trade/to the masses mash-up, Forty Five Ten is partnering with David Sutherland to bring John Dickinson goodness to the retail market. The collection is gracing the floor of Forty Five Ten as I type.
Now I just need to scrape together enough cash to pull the trigger on one of those bad boys… Wish me luck.

Not my style, but still an interesting look. You would just have to have the right room to make it work.
Just a thought on Mr. Neely’s comment on how one would need a special room for his pieces and I do know how someone might think that the J.D. pieces are a little too “different”, but I have one of these little African tables next to a Louis XV period chair and it looks great as it is so simple and takes a lot of the “I am an important French Chair..look at me” feeling away. I am not the first person to do this, but do know a good idea when I see one.
