A couple of weeks ago, my friend Sam was helping me spruce my house a bit for a project when she honed in on an ancient shade topping a lamp in the corner of my master bedroom and declared it “sad“. (In the nicest possible way of course.)

I was not offended. The shade was indeed sad. It was Saddy McSadderson, sad town.

Sam’s declaration was just the push I needed to finally do something about the situation. So I hightailed it over to Arteriors Too (my go-to for all things lampshade) for some new action and left with a sable brown stunner of a drum shade sporting the palest robin’s egg blue interior. I also toted home a new lamp base… Suffice to say, my husband is less than pleased when I visit Arteriors Too. Just saying’.

So I’m staying away this weekend, as they have all their shades marked up to 25% off* through Sunday, and I’m not sure I could resist.

But you should go.
