It’s time for another installment of our lovely intern Caitlin’s “Adventures in Decorating”. This week, she unravels the mystery of why so many peeps in Dallas own dogs…Enjoy!

Immediately after moving to Dallas, I noticed Uptown’s most popular accessory: dogs.
It seems like everyone in the city totes a perfect pooch. So when my friend Amy adopted a new friend named Sheffield (below), I wasn’t too surprised.
Now the challenge is finding stylish and affordable puppy supplies for her duplex. Because nothing ruins a posh space like an unattractive dog bed or crate.
Of course, you can splurge on modern dog furniture, but it just feels wrong to spend that much on a dog bed. (No offense, Sheffield.) Instead, you can invest in a crate cover like this duvet. You could also just spring for this crate. And, at minimum, I think Sheffield would like that “woof” treat jar from Crate&Barrel above.
I think I’ve discovered the secret to behind why so many people own dogs in Dallas. It’s another excuse to shop.
