This lovely spring weather (and the fact that it’s Friday) has us totally blissed out… We’re feeling chipper, perky, generous even.

So we’re offering up that trio of  Topiary candleholders from Crate and Barrel + four of those Courbet melamine salad plates pictured above from our March/April issue to one of our lovely readers.

Just leave a comment on this post telling us how you plan to prettify your patio for spring and follow D Home on Pinterest by Monday, March 26th at 5:00 p.m. for a chance to get the goods. We’ll announce the winner on Tuesday.

Good luck!

  1. I plan on adding some vertical succulent gardens, more perennials and
fresh cushions to the lounge chairs. I have to agree the Spring weather right now is pretty awesome!

  2. I have a very small apartment patio which has been neglected through the winter/rainy season, but with the emergence of spring, I have extra motivation to change the status quo. I recently bought a pair of scuffed black braided hemp lounge chairs for cheap at the IKEA as-is section which I plan on spraypainting an apple green color. I would also like to set out a sturdy wood cafe folding table, which would be really useful when I’m enjoying some drinks with friends outside. And I can finally set out my black + blum hot pot barbeque, which is a small terra cotta pot whose lid is used for growing herbs, while the inside of the pot hides a coal-fired grill, perfect to use for grilling while sprucing up on my small patio with some fauna! http://www.black-blum.com/products/hot-pot-bbq/

  4. This spring I plan to add pops of red to ignite the “fame” area of the bagua map of my home. I’ve found feng shui has really helped liven up my living space! Red patio furniture and throw pillows are a must!

  5. Just purchased these fresh looking recycled glass hurricanes in turquoise and lime green for candles on my patio table. A few outdoors pillows in teal, royal and lime and a new outdoor rug. I plan on going with white petunias and geraniums for a clean looking palette. Very excited about Sunday brunches and evening dinners on my patio!

  7. My new house in uptown has a wonderful rooftop patio with a fireplace and a new Big Green Egg. The only problem is that there is NO furniture. I plan on making it look less “Plano like” first off and changing out all the Rob & Stucky style light fixtures. Then, I’ll add large potted plants, some comfortable seating, mosaic table, and outdoor incense to make the patio smell of exotic far east places. The candleholders will work great for those evening alfresco date nights, and the plates will be used to hold my nutella filled croissants while I drink my green smoothy during breakfast…(on the patio of course)

  9. I have a rustic back yard, that is in great need of modern additions. This spring we planned on putting in some new bushes and all year round plants. New deck rug, and I am going to make/sew new seating for the picnic bench….since picnic benches aren’t that comfortable.

  12. How do i plan to prettify my patio???
I would most definitely have something on it!… It’ s so bare!!! As a graduate student I really need some new duds on the patio. I would design my patio as peaceful and serene with some candles lit in those candles holders on a warm spring night, pop open a bottle of wine add a cheese plate and relax with an awesome spring salad using those plates. oh… and I could go for that table and couch too!! I can just picture it now : ) ahhhh…..

  19. This weather is so inspiring. Can’t wait to “prettify” our patio this spring. One of our oldest trees was hit by lightning so when the guys came to take it away, I had them leave me a stump. This year I am going to take off the bark and have my husband sand and stain it as an end table next to my rattan lounge chairs! So excited, organic and very “Chique”.
