For the September/October issue of D Home, which will be on newsstands shortly, we asked some Dallas bloggers what they thought about the Boozehound you see here. “Boozy,” as I like to call him, is covered in replicas of vintage French wine labels, and he’s available at Wisteria for $129. Samantha Reitmayer Sano of style/SWOON falls in the cool camp. “Crazy?” she says. “No. It looks like an alcoholic pinata. What’s not to love?” To see how the others weighed in, you’ll just have to pick up the magazine. For the record—even though no one asked me—I’m saying Boozy is cool. I love dogs. And I love wine. And I love France. So what are you gonna do?

I live and breathe for the obscure and unique. This dog fits my criteria…and it doesn’t poop!
I really like this dog! It reminds me of the homespun patchwork ceramic cats we had back in the 70s. Anyone else remember those?
It reminds me of the 16th century Italian painter Guiseppe Arcimboldo’s work which he used one thing to make another. Arcimboldo used food to create faces, and this person used wine labels to create the pooch.
The only thing that makes it less than perfect is the fact that it isn’t a terrier! Way cool!
